Janek, Democrats Agree on Local Voters

The last paragraph of Clay Robison’s current column revisits the ongoing speculation over State Senator Kyle Janek’s future plans; speculation inspired by his expensive move to Austin. According to Robison, Janek hasn’t made up his mind, but may stick around because, “some of his Democratic Senate colleagues are encouraging him to remain.”

“"They say, 'We sure hope you stay because we don't know what kind of nut they (voters) are going to send in your place," according to Janek.

Aaah, those nutty voters. What will they come up with next! Janek's comments leave us to assume he shares his Democratic colleagues' disdain for Dan Patrick and the kind of loud-mouth conservatives who listen to KSEV. And vote. And volunteer on campaigns.

With Janek attempting to outdo the example of Mario Gallegos in skirting residency standards and constantly crying out for more state spending, we get the impression he’s listening to his Democratic Senate colleagues more and more. I’m sure they know much better than those nutty Republican voters back in the district.

The way Janek keeps teasing us with the possibility of leaving, he's starting to remind me of my first wife.
